Release Dependency

The Release Dependency iCube enables you to create ad hoc reports to analyze Release, Phase, or Task dependencies on a gate task that is associated with a Release. A gate task is a task type that contains conditions or dependencies on other releases, phases, or tasks that must be fulfilled before the release can continue.

Using the Release Dependency iCube, Release Managers can gain insights into important business decisions such as:

• Understand the impact of task delays on all its dependent releases, phases, or tasks.
• View the critical path across or within releases that have dependent gate tasks to understand the time required to complete a release.
• View Release Tasks that have the highest dependencies and which are delaying the completion of its dependent Releases, Phases, or Tasks.

You can also blend this iCube with other iCubes, such as Release, Release Phase, or Release Task and use the Release, Phase, or Task attributes as filters to analyze and view the corresponding dependency items. You can also view the list of release, phases, or tasks on which a specific release, phase, or task is dependent.

Dependency Actual End Date	The date on which the dependency release, phase, or task actually ended.
Dependency Actual Start Date	The date on which the dependency release, phase, or task actually started.
Dependency Planned End Date	The date on which the dependency release, phase, or task is supposed to end.
Dependency Planned Start Date	The date on which the dependency release, phase, or task is supposed to start.
Dependency Projected Planned End Date	The date on which the dependency release, phase, or task is scheduled to end. The projected date is calculated based on the specified duration.
Dependency Projected Planned Start Date	The date on which the dependency release, phase, or task is scheduled to start. The projected date is calculated based on the specified duration.
Dependency Release ID	Unique identifier of the dependency Release that has a dependent gate task.
Dependency Release Name	Title of the dependency Release that has a dependent gate task.
Dependency Release Phase Name	Title of the dependency Release Phase that has a dependent gate task.
Dependency Release Task Name	Title of the dependency Release Task that has a dependent gate task.
Dependency Release Task URL	Source system URL corresponding to the Dependency Release Task.
Release Dependency Dim Key	Internal key column associated with a gate task that has Release, Release Phase, or Release Task dependencies.
Release Dependency Type (Source)	Dependency type associated with a gate task. For example: release, phase, or task.
